Eight Levittown Students Named Winners in Photography Contest
Contest awards ceremony to be held on Thursday.
A total of eight Levittown students have been named winners in State Senator Kemp Hannon's Second Annual "Best in Town" photography contest.
Hannon announced that he will be hosting a contest awards ceremony to showcase the winners on Thursday, June 6, 6:30 p.m. at the Levittown Public Library.
The ceremony awards each winner (a total of 19 in all) with a photograph, and full size poster of their winning photograph, Hannon said in a release.
The contest sought to capture the spirit of the district and surrounding areas via photography. Students were eligible to submit one photograph from each of the following four categories: People, Places, Animals and Nature.
Here are the eight students, all from Division Avenue High School, who were named winners for their photography:
People: Chelsea Kelly
Places: Benjamin Bickford
Hannah Spiegel
Animals: Dana Watrous
Nature: Jocelyn Gonzalez
Amber Lennon
Ashley Orth
Lydia Pless
The short ceremony is concluded with the awarding of two runner-up and one “Best in Show” awards.
