Upcoming Events at the Island Trees Public Library

Check out some fun events coming up at the Island Trees library.

SPRING BOOK SALE!
Something for everyone! Friday, June 7th 2:00pm-5:00pm   Saturday, June 8th 10:00am-3:00pm

CHESS:
8 Saturdays starting June 15 & 29 10:00am-12:00pm $2.00 per session for drop in **Kids under 13 FREE** (Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult) Learn to play chess from a member of Long Island Industrial Chess League. Experienced players are also welcome.

PASSPORT VAN:
Saturday, June 15 11:00am-2:00pm The passport van comes to the library! You can fill out an application, have your picture taken to acquire a new passport, bring your driver’s license, a certified copy of your birth certificate, or an old passport. You must bring two checks to cover fees. Fees vary depending on the type of passport needed. 

ART SHOW RECEPTION: VERNISSAGE:
Saturday, June 22 1:00pm-5:00pm Come to the library and discover the art work of our community members!

 IS YOUR WRITING READABLE? Monday, June 24 6:45pm-8:45pm Fee: $10.00 Award-winning freelance writer, editor and columnist PAUL MANTON teaches tips for more concise and interesting creative writing.            

NYS DEFENSIVE DRIVING:
Saturday, June 1 10:00AM-5:00PM Fee: $22.00 Checks must be made out to NTSI Must bring lunch, pen and driver’s license

Calling All Artisans!  
The Friends of the Library will be hosting an Arts & Crafts Fair on the Library Lawn on Saturday, September 28th (Rain Date Saturday, October 5th). The cost for a spot is $25 ($30 if you use one of the Library’s tables).  

The Fair is juried meaning that the Friends would like to see a sample of your work first. Please bring a sample of your original arts and crafts along with your contact information to the Library before July 1st.
