Zwanger Pesiri to Hold Groundbreaking Ceremony Thursday

The Town of Hempstead will join Zwanger at 3235 Hempstead Tpke., the site of the future radiology center.

It has been a long wait, but Zwanger Pesiri Radiology will break ground on their newest facility in Levittown on Thursday morning, the Town of Hempstead announced in a press release.

The new Radiology practice will be located at the site of the former Israel Community Center on Hempstead Tpke., which was knocked down in 2011. The lot was later used temporarily by Levittown Ford, located just west of the property.

“As Levittown residents, both Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray and Councilman Gary Hudes were proud to inform neighbors that the renowned radiologists would be coming to the community and promised to be there to put shovels in the ground when the work was to begin. That day has arrived!” the town said in the release.

The groundbreaking takes place at 3235 Hempstead Tpke., which is north of Starbucks and just west of Jerusalem Avenue.

There is no timetable yet for when the construction will be completed on the project. Stay with Patch for the story on Thursday’s ceremony.
