Bicyclist Struck, Killed By Car In Suffolk County: Police
The man was struck on Monday night, police say.
AMITYVILLE, NY — A bicyclist is dead after he was struck by a car in Amityville on Monday night, Suffolk County police said.
The bicyclist was riding west to east across Route 110, near Ritter Avenue, just after 11 p.m. when he was hit by a northbound 2009 Toyota Camry.
The man was taken to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip where he died, police said. His name wasn't immediately released.

The sedan driver was not hurt, police said. The car was impounded for a safety check.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
