Update: Brennan, Lavorata, Masterson Nominated at Lindenhurst GOP Caucus
Mayor Tom Brennan, Village Trustee Mike Lavorata and Two-Family Review Board Member Joan Masterson, get the nod at Monday night's Republican Caucus in preparation for the Village's March elections.

With their seats up for re-election in March this year, Lindenhurst and Village Trustee Mike Lavorata were once again nominated by the Village's Republican Party at the , at the Lindenhurst Community () Center on Monday night.
Trustee 's seat is also up for re-election on, , , but she decided not to seek nomination, Lou Dietz, GOP Party chairman for the Village, told Lindenhurst Patch. However, it was unclear as to why as of presstime.
For that seat on the Village board - which includes the , as well as Deputy Mayor Kevin McCaffrey and Trustee Maryann Weckerle - the GOP nominated , a long-time Lindy resident and a member of the Village's Two-Family Review Board.

"She's very active in the community and in the Party, and involved with the Coast Guard," Dietz said.
Each of the - , Lavorata and Masterson - were nominated unanimously by the Caucus that was run by Richard Burke.

Burke served as temporary chairman for the purpose of the Caucus on Monday night. Eric Landau served as Secretary for the Caucus.
The also received endorsements from two other parties in Lindenhurst.
"They got the Conservative and Independent lines, too, said Dietz, who estimated that approximately 50 to 60 attended the January 30 Caucus.
Calls about Democratic nominees put into the Babylon Democratic Chairman Robert Stricoff weren't returned by presstime. Update: According to Stricoff late Tuesday night, the have also nominated Brennan, Lavorata and Masterson.
The Village elections are set for Tuesday, March 20.
