Crimes Nearby: Police Searching for Amityville Burglar
Unknown suspect escaped doctor's office with over $800 in gift cards.
Suffolk County Police are asking for the public's help in catching a thief that burglarized an Amityville doctor's office last month.
According to the Suffolk County Police Department and Crime Stoppers, a man broke into the office of Dr. Vinod Gulati in Amityville on July 9 between the hours of 7:45 p.m. and 9 p.m.
The burglary managed to escape the office with several gift cards to Lord & Taylor, totaling $850.
The burglar, however, was caught on camera by security devices located in the office at 333 Broadway in Amityville.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest of the burglar.
Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls are kept confidential.
