High School Student Council Entertains Seniors at Holiday Party
Senior holiday dinner has all parts of the school pitch in for a festive evening.

The members of the Lindenhurst HIgh School Student Council coordinated a holiday party for the area's senior citizens from the nearby Rainbow Center.
The holiday fun included musical performances by the high school's select chorus and band, including sing-along favorites such as “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire,” “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,” “Deck the Halls,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and the audience favorite, “The Twelve Days of Christmas.”
“The students enjoyed spending time talking with the senior citizens,” said student council co-adviser Heidi Ruggerio. “The senior citizens were very appreciative of the students’ warmth.”
Student council members welcomed and conversed with the events' attendees in the school library, decorated by the club in a festive manner.
The orchestra continued to entertain throughout while guests enjoyed a lunch prepared by the students enrolled in the school's culinary arts classes.
