Hit-And-Run Crash Hospitalizes LI Man: Police
A man was hospitalized on Tuesday after getting hit by a car that fled the scene on Long Island, Suffolk County police say.
LINDENHURST, NY — A pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run car crash on Long Island on Tuesday, Suffolk County police told Patch.
Police said a 26-year-old male was crossing Wellwood Avenue, near East Gates, Lindenhurst, when he was struck by a vehicle turning left from East Gates around 5:19 p.m.
The vehicle fled the scene and the man was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip for non-life-threatening injuries.
