'Imagination And Exploration': New Indoor Playground Opens On Long Island

A new indoor playground, micro-school, social club and party space for kids and families celebrated its grand opening on Long Island.

LINDENHURST, NY — A new indoor play space has opened its doors to Long Island kids and families.

Jetsetter Kids Club, an indoor playground, micro-school, social club and party space offering a variety of kid-friendly activities, celebrated its grand opening in Lindenhurst in late June at 155 West Sunrise Hwy.

Co-founders Justin and June Farahan, long Island real estate developers and residents, told Patch they were drawn to Lindenhurst for its "close-knit community and the hardworking spirit of Long Island families and wanted to create something special for the area."

Their son Jet inspired them to "build a space where children could play, learn and celebrate—all under one roof."

"We felt there just wasn’t a place where families could connect with other families on a daily basis that was fun for everyone," Justin said. "We wanted to bring together the play component, enriching programs and unforgettable parties—all in one hub."

Community members gathered for a ribbon-cutting, while children tested out the playground.

The Farahans told Patch that designing and building the space "was no simple feat," and Justin oversaw every detail from start to finish.

They said that after years of planning, the grand opening "marked a major milestone and a joyful day filled with gratitude, excitement and a strong sense of unity."

Elected officials attended the ceremony, including Councilman DuWayne Gregory, Presiding Officer Kevin McCaffrey, Assemblyman Michael Durso, Village of Lindenhurst Mayor Mike Lavorata and Deputy Mayor RJ Renna.

"Jetsetter Kids Club is a children’s learning and enrichment center created to spark imagination and exploration through play," Justin said. "We truly appreciate the support from the Lindenhurst community."

According to Jetsetter's website, the club's "mission is to foster connections and holistic child development through play, project-based learning and interest-led education."

Jetsetter's doors are open to children of all ages, ranging from "babies to teens."

The kids club offers a variety of programs, including open play sessions, summer camps for various age groups, party packages, and sensory and social clubs.
