Lindenhurst Eatery Celebrates 10 Years By Expanding
The ribbon-cutting came 2 months after the soft opening. "We do most of the work ourselves, so it's been a slow roll," the owner said.

LINDENHURST, NY — Pigs On A Wing recently celebrated its 10th year in business with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that was also a celebration of its expansion.
The “NY Comfort BBQ” eatery at 272 North Wellwood Ave. started out as just a takeout and delivery service. However, after taking over the storefront next door and undergoing extensive renovations, Pigs On A Wing now offers customers the option to enjoy a meal in its new dining area.
Owner Kurt Satzinger told Patch the soft opening was a couple of months ago, and they're still working on finishing touches. They built several of the tables — and two of them he had built by a Lindenhurst man from an oak tree that fell during Hurricane Gloria.

Their customers seem pretty happy with the expansion, the Massapequa 45-year-old said. "The biggest challenge so far has been figuring out how to do it. I come from the deli and pizza world, have never done sit-down dining before."
In an announcement about the ribbon-cutting, Deputy Mayor RJ Renna said, “Pigs On A Wing has become a Lindenhurst staple! We are so proud of their success and expansion in the Downtown Business District. Lindenhurst will continue our commitment to helping our small businesses grow and thrive.”
