Lindenhurst Freeze: Here's When It'll Be Coldest

Get ready for the cold snap, Long Island.

The National Weather Service says temperatures will drop into the single digits early Friday morning, though the wind chills will feel like sub-zero temperatures.

And we can expect snow showers Thursday and Thursday night.

The bitter cold will begin to set in Thursday night, when temperatures dip from 30 degrees at 7 p.m to about 20 degrees by 11 p.m., with wind chills making if feel much colder.

And by 6 a.m. Friday, temperatures will hover at 9 degrees – though it will feel like -11 degrees, according to weather.com.

• 3 p.m., 37 degrees (feels like 33)
• 7 p.m. 31 degrees (feels like 21)
• 11 p.m., 20 degrees (feels like 4)

Friday

• 2 a.m., 13 degrees (feels like -4)
• 5 a.m., 10 degrees (feels like -9)
• 9 a.m. 8 degrees (feels like -12)
• 11 a.m., 11 degrees (feels like -7)
• 1 p.m., 14 degrees (feels like -2)
• 4 p.m., 17 degrees (feels like 3)
• 5 p.m., 15 degrees (feels like 1)
• 6 p.m., 13 degrees (feels like -1)
• 7 p.m., 11 degrees (feels like -2)
• 9 p.m., 10 degrees (feels like -3)

Saturday

• 4 a.m. 10 degrees (feels like 10)
