Lindenhurst Freshman Breaks School Diving Records
Diver finished twelfth in state competitions, and placed top five in county and league champs.
A Lindenhurst High School freshman placed twelfth in the New York State Swimming and Diving Competition.
Grace Reeves, a freshman swimmer and diver, placed among the top athletes in the state with her twelfth place finish in the state competition held in Ithaca.
She finished in twelfth in the girls' one-meter diving competition with a final score of 403.20.
Reeves had earlier qualified for the competition by finishing second in a diving competition in the Section XI meet and finishing first in the league championship meet.
She qualified for that county meet during the Bulldogs' first meet of the year, where she reportedly broke several diving records at the high school.
