Giving Is Better than Receiving, But This Holiday Season At Legoland NY There Is Plenty Of Both To Go Around

They say never meet your heroes, but the "Lego Masters" champions who kicked off the "Holiday Bricktacular" were simply excited to see us.

The towering holiday masterpiece was constructed from more than 364,000 Lego bricks, but it was the special guests that showed why Legoland New York is an extra-special place during the holidays.

GOSHEN, NY — The chance to see a 35-foot-tall Christmas tree made out of Legos is reason enough to head to Legoland New York Resort's third annual Holiday Bricktacular, but the festivities running through Jan. 3, offer a little holiday wonder that will stay with you long after the stockings have been put away for the season.

While they were the stars of the show on opening weekend, they seemed just as excited about a chance to see what was being built as the rest of us.

During their visit to the park, "Lego Masters" season 5 contestants Ian Summers, Sage Summers, Michael Grayson, Ben Grayson, Anthony Amoo, and Joe Cherwink shared in the joy that is sometimes easy to forget. While the contestants, who we invited into our living rooms each week, marveled at the impressive world built of Legos that is Legoland Resort New York, they shared an unexpected highlight of the visit.

Summers shared that it was meeting fellow Lego enthusiasts and seeing their creations that was his favorite attraction at the park. "It was so impressive, and just special," he said moments before helping to light the Lego tree for the season.

The contestants were given a tour of the Legoland New York's Master Model Builder workshop. The reality television stars also unveiled their "LEGO Masters" winning builds, which will now be on permanent display at Legoland New York.

The glowing Lego in the "Brick Street" town square has the feel of a quaint ski resort village, without the hassle of packing for the weekend. The "Big Lego Store" offers all the fun of Christmas shopping without the stress of the mall. The energetic live entertainment is a holiday tradition the whole family will actually enjoy, unlike that famous ballet you really, really want the kids to be into. Outdoor glice-skating offers all the fun, but without the strict time limits and long lines. If you want to spend the holidays in the city, but don't like crowds — "Miniland" has you covered.

And don't forget the rides.

There is plenty to love about The Legoland Holiday Bricktacular, but a hands-on reminder of the joy of play and creativity might just be the best gift of all.

The Holiday Bricktacular runs on all open days through Jan. 3, 2026. All Holiday Bricktacular activities are included with park admission. For tickets, event details, and hotel packages, visit the LEGOLAND New York website, or follow LEGOLAND New York on Instagram or Facebook.
