Lindenhurst Hop Shop to Open Soon

Home brewers, rejoice – Lindenhurst will be the home to the newest one-stop shop for making your own beers at your house.

The Lindenhurst Hop Shop, described as the "home brewers' paradise" by its owners, is expected to open to the public within the two months at its location at 290 East Montauk Highway.

"We think the marriage between the two spaces will be perfect for beer lovers since we will not be selling beer at the shop," one of the owners told Patch.

Everything from beer supplies to the best insight on how to brew the best tasting ales will be available from the employees at the new shop. The owners are also considering brewing demos, home brew contests and other gatherings at the Lindenhurst shop.

The new shop will be run by the owners of the Loyal Dog Ale House, the next door neighbor to the incoming storefront which specializes in having a large selection of beers from throughout the world.

The new shop is currently under construction and the owners estimate the shop would be open within the next two months.

The storefront will be among the first home brew shops to enter the Town of Babylon area, with other similar shops open to the public in Patchogue and Stony Brook.
