Lindy Kids Shine at KofC Basketball Contest
Several local boys and girls showed off their free throw abilities in recent Lindenhurst Knights of Columbus contest - and won their age brackets.
Many Lindenhurst kids turned out recently for the Knights of Columbus-OLPH Council Free Throw Basketball Contest, but several boys and girls had enough game to win the contest.
They braved the only of the - so far - to win their age divisions.
Here are the results of the Free Throw Competition on January 21, as posted on the KofC website:

- In the 10-year-old division Tyler McLaughlin won for the boys and Kyra Pontecrvo won for the girls.
- In the 11-year-old division Dan Kwarta won for the boys and Julia Bryant won for the girls.
- In the 12-year-old division Kevin Perdue won for the boys and Ashley Hudson won for the girls.
- In the 13-year-old division Greg Williams won for the boys and Alexis Petdue won for the girls.
- In the 14-year-old division Daniel Grignon won for the boys. There were no applicants for the girls.
According to the KoC website, the next competition is District 11 and will be held on Saturday, February 11 at the at 12:30 p.m.
"Please come down and cheer on our representatives before they advance to county and state contests," the website encouraged.
