Long Island NFL Player Pops The Question To High School Sweetheart
Before he was drafted to the NFL, the two began dating at Lindenhurst Senior High School.
LINDENHURST, NY — A Lindenhurst professional athlete just gained a forever teammate.
Jermery Ruckert, 22, who was drafted to the New York Jets in the 2022 NFL Draft, recently popped the question to his high-school sweetheart, Robyn Haines.
The two began dating in 2015 at Lindenhurst Senior High School.

Ruckert announced their engagement on social media on Thursday.
“It was always us,” Haines commented on the post.

On social media, Haines wrote that Ruckert surprised her with the proposal, and dinner with their families at Prime in Huntington afterwards.
Ruckert played college football at Ohio State and was drafted 101st overall in the third round.
He is currently a tight end for the New York Jets.
