Lindy Swim Club Welcomes New Head Coach
Coach Brian Washington is also the head swim coach at Lindenhurst High School.
The Lindenhurst Swim Club announced Brian Washington was named the club's new head coach this summer.
Washington has served as the swim coach for Lindenhurst High School's varsity swim team since 1997 and has over 25 years of experience.
Before his current Lindenhurst-based positions, Washington also served as a coach for Long Island Aquatics Club and Islander Aquatics Club. He previously served as the club's head coach from 1999 to 2003.
While head coach at Lindy High, Washington has help develop All-Americans, All-State and All-Long Island swimmers as well as Junior National qualifiers.
Washington currently works as a tenured teacher in the Copiague School District and a long-time Lifeguarding Instructor for the American Red Cross.
The club will be holding a meet-and-greet with early registration on September 11 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lindenhurst High School Cafeteria.
