Lindy US Army Sergeant Returns from Afghanistan

A Lindenhurst solider is back home safe after serving the United States in a tour of duty with the Army overseas in Afghanistan.

United States Army Sergeant Richard Vidal returned to his at 320 North Erie Avenue in Lindenhurst on Saturday morning, accompanied by the Patriot Guard Riders of New York.

A large crowd awaited the sergeant at his home, along with government representatives there to thank him for his service and a safe return home.

Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer reportedly named August 10 Sgt. Vidal Day throughout the Town of Babylon, thanking him for his sacrifice and service.
