Meet Darwin, Shelter Pet of the Week

Seeking a new family pet? This sweet pup might be the right one for you and your family.

Darwin is a sweet, friendly and handsome Labrador retriever/pit bull mix who's seeking a forever home. He came to the Town of Babylon Animal Shelter after his owner was evicted and couldn't keep him anymore.

Sadly, the older female dog with whom he also lived and with whom he came to the shelter had to be euthanized because of poor health, according to shelter volunteer Christina Catalano.

According to her, Darwin is approximately four and a half years old, a quick learner and good with not only younger children but also with other dogs.
