OLPH Holding Special Mass on Monday for Sandy Victims

It's set for Monday, November 5, at 7 p.m. at the Lindenhurst Church.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Lindenhurst will be holding a special Mass for Healing and Renewal for all who have been impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

"It'll be an opportunity to come together to seek God’s healing peace and to offer strength and support to one another," Msgr. Joseph DeGrocco, the new Pastor of OLPH wrote in an e-mail to Lindenhurst Patch on Friday.

"We invite all who have been affected by the storm - victims, family members and friends, first responders, and all in our community - to this liturgy.

It'll be held this Monday, November 5, at 7 p.m. in OLPH Church on South Wellwood Avenue.

"Bishop Robert Brennan, Auxiliary Bishop and Vicar General of The Diocese of Rockville Centre, will be the celebrant of the Mass. Hospitality will follow after the Mass," noted Msgr. DeGrocco.

He also said the parish will be undertaking a number of relief efforts, but didn't have any details about those efforts to share yet. Read more about them here.
