The person was struck by a Babylon Branch train, the MTA says.
LINDENHURST, NY — A person was fatally struck by a Long Island Railroad train on Saturday near Lindenhurst, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) confirmed with Patch.

An unauthorized person was on the westbound tracks at about 11:30 p.m. when they were struck by a Babylon Branch train.
The incident caused delays at the time, the MTA shared on social media.
