Weather Forecast

Fall has slowly taken its hold on Long Island, but we're about to see temperatures take a plunge as the week goes on. Sunny skies for the first two days this week with highs near the mid-to-upper 60's will change as rain moves in Wednesday along with a cold front. Waking up Thursday morning will be a chilling wake-up call with temperatures only peaking at 50 degrees.

Public Meetings

The Town of Babylon Board of Trustees will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, October 22 at Babylon Town Hall at 4 p.m. All are welcome.

The Lindenhurst Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public meeting at Lindenhurst Village Hall on Wednesday, October 23 at 7 p.m.

Pet Shelter Benefit

The Little Shelter Animal Rescue will host its sixth annual Costume Ball and Charity Event this Thursday, October 24 at the Chateau La Mer here in Lindenhurst. The costume event features raffles, silent auctions, live entertainment and more for $100 a person.

Sporting Events

The varsity football team will host Sachem North at home this Friday, October 25 at 6 p.m. Come out to the middle school and root on your Bulldogs!

Catch a two-game homestand for varsity field hockey this week. Northport will come to Lindy on Monday, October 21 at 4:30 p.m. and Connetquot will come here Wednesday, October 23 at 4:15 p.m.
