Lindenhurst High School students in the advanced physical education class took a canoe trip on the Nissequogue River  in Smithtown as a part of an outdoor education unit, in correlation with Project Adventure.

Approximately 40 students enjoyed the three-hour trip, which commenced with a small lesson in the school’s library prior to departure.

“What an amazing experience for the students,” said teacher Janine Cheskay.

“The wind was strong, so we finished fast,” she added.
