Photos: SpringFest Has Sprung!

once again brought thousands of residents, eager to meet and greet neighbors and friends, stroll Wellwood Avenue with their families and pets, buy a few wares, grab some food, win an array of prizes, go on some rides and take in the beautiful weather.

And despite a start that threatened more rain than shine, the final day of - Sunday, when Wellwood is shut down from Gates Avenue to John Street - was well attended under a sunny sky that ultimately dominated the day.

, president of the , which sponsors the event each year, was pleased with the attendance. This is CoC efforts serves as the organization's major fundraiser for the year, with the monies going to enhance commerce in the community.

"We had the most vendors ever this year, and thousands of people turned out. It was such a nice day - a fabulous event," she said.
