Police ID 3 People Killed In Head-On Long Island Crash
BREAKING: All three people were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash early this morning, police say.

AMITYVILLE, NY – Three people were killed in a head-on crash on Long Island early Sunday, police said.
According to police, 27-year-old Alex Demetrius was driving a 2003 BMW X5 east on Oak Street in Amityville when the SUV entered the westbound lane and struck a westbound 2017 Toyota Corolla, just east of Bayview Avenue, at about 12:35 a.m.
Demetrius, of Nesconset, and the driver of the Toyota, Joseph Cloonan, 65, and Cloonan’s son and only passenger, John Cloonan, 34, both of Staten Island, were pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check. The investigation is continuing and anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
