The vigil honoring 23-year-old Edeedson Cine is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Lindenhurst Village Square.
LINDENHURST, NY — A community vigil honoring a CVS employee who was killed on Christmas night in a stabbing is planned for 6 p.m. today at Lindenhurst Village Square.
The vigil, originally planned to take place outside the CVS store, has been relocated to the gazebo at Village Square, located at 116 North Wellwood Avenue, due to the anticipated large turnout, organizers said.
The gathering will honor Edeedson Cine Jr., 23, who was fatally stabbed while working at CVS on East Montauk Highway on Christmas night, according to police. The vigil is open to the public and is intended to give community members an opportunity to mourn, reflect, and support one another.
