Police Report: N. Alleghany Ave. Assault, Arson in N. Lindy, Multiple Cars Damaged

Incidents in Lindenhurst, and North Lindenhurst, between May 5 and 13, plus one from April 16 and another from April 20.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and doesn't indicate convictions.

  • May 13: Criminal mischief, fourth degree, Montauk Highway, report indicated, “To red Chevy.”
  • May 13: Harassment, second, Ash Street, report indicated, “Fourteen-year-old son pushed by neighbor.”
  • May 12: Criminal mischief, fourth, East Hoffman Avenue, report indicated, “Complainant: ‘Employee-use back entrance of post office.’”
  • May 12: Arson, three, North Wellwood Avenue, report indicated, “Commercial building;” see related story:
  • May 9: Robbery, second, Montauk Highway, report indicated, “Male subject rang ‘comp’ bell, and he’s moaning.”
  • May 8: Harassment, second, North Seventh Street, report indicated, “Known male friend just assaulted complainant; subject fled.”
  • May 8: Harassment, second, Hickory Street, report indicated, “Complainant’s sister and father fighting.”
  • May 7: Criminal mischief, fourth, North Greene Avenue, report indicated, “To vehicles.”
  • May 7: Harassment, second, Orchard Street, report indicated, “Complainant versus boyfriend; complainant on front stoop waiting.”
  • May 6: Criminal mischief, fourth, North Greene Avenue, report indicated, “To vehicles.”
  • May 6: Aggravated harassment, North Indiana Avenue, report indicated, “Via phone by unknown party.”
