Sixth-Graders Get Familiar with Middle School
Students hit the hallways of Lindenhurst Middle School for the first time.
Incoming sixth-grade students got a sneak peek of the Lindenhurst Middle School at the sixth-grade orientation held the end of August, two weeks before school opened.
As part of the orientation, students and parents walked around the school, listened to a presentation from Principal Frank Naccarato and ate breakfast, served by members of the school’s National Junior Honor Society. The program began with advice from Mr. Naccarato to students and parents. “Get involved in activities,” he encouraged while discussing some of the school rules. He described the events of a typical day at school, as well as the various clubs offered to students.
Students were given tours and schedules, and new green Master Locks, T-shirts and shorts were available for purchase. Guidance counselors were also accessible to discuss schedules.
