Supt.: 10 Lindy LAX Players Suspended for Drinking

The 10 Varsity Boys Lacrosse players were caught drinking while heading back from a tournament in Rochester, says Lindenhurst Schools Superintendent Richard Nathan.

Ten players on the 's were recently suspended from school and practice after getting caught drinking.

That's according to Superintendent Richard Nathan, who released a statement to Lindenhurst Patch on Friday afternoon, April 27.

"The were a result of the boys drinking alcohol on the bus ride home while heading back from a tournament in Rochester a few weeks ago," the superintendent explained in the statement.

"The district is very disappointed in these students for engaging in such a poor manner," Nathan noted.

Following this incident the district brought in an outside program called Outreach to speak with the entire team about the dangers of drinking and alcohol awareness, "which appeared to be very impactful to students," he said.
