Woman Critically Injured In North Amityville Crash: Police

NORTH AMITYVILLE, NY — A woman was critically injured in a North Amityville car crash early Thursday, Suffolk County police said.

At about 5:54 a.m., a 2002 Toyota Sequoia traveling southbound on Route 110 collided with a 2004 Nissan Sentra, as it crossed Route 110 from westbound Parthey Lane.

The driver of the Sentra, who has not been positively identified, was taken to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip in critical condition, police said.

The driver of the Nissan was not injured, and his passenger was treated for minor injuries. The vehicles were impounded for safety checks. The investigation is continuing.
