Woman Allegedly Raped at Allegria Hotel
Video reportedly shows eight men entering and leaving room in question.

Long Beach Police are investigating an alleged rape at the Allegria Hotel during Memorial Day weekend.
A registered female guest at the beach-side hotel, at 80 W. Broadway, notified security at 4 a.m. last Friday that she was given a date rape drug and raped in a hotel room, according to CBS News.
The hotel turned over surveillance video, which according to one law enforcement source, showed eight men going in and out of the room in question.

“The detectives executed a search warrant at the scene and we’ve conducted extensive interviews with patrons and staff that were there that night,” Sgt. Eric Cregeen, Long Beach Police Department’s public information officer, told Patch on Thursday. “And the Allegria Hotel has been extremely cooperative with our investigation to date.”

Cregeen, who told Patch the incident occurred early Saturday morning, said he was unable to comment on reports that a number of men went in and out of the hotel room where the alleged crime occurred.
“I can’t compromise our investigation, but that information didn’t come from police,” he said.
Mike Witte, the hotel’s general manager, didn't immediately return a call Thursday morning, but he told CBS News that police took what they needed for the investigation off-site. "At this point, we’re just waiting to hear from them and … we are fully cooperating,” he said.
