Aug. 2: City Council Meets, Make Picture Frames, Beach Broadcasting

The second day of the work week brings many events and activities in Long Beach. Here are just a few we things you should know about:
1. The Long Beach City Council holds a meeting at 7 p.m. at City Hall. This first meeting of the month features a “good and welfare” session that allows citizens to address the council on any government-related issue.
2. The Long Beach Public Library will hold a free Summer Crafts: Design Your Own Picture Frame starting at 4:15 p.m.

3. Jazz musicians Steve Adelson takes his Chapman stick to Grillfire restaurant on West Park Avenue to perform with guest musicians at 7:30 p.m.
4. Tune into AM 1240 WGBB at 8 p.m. for Broadcasting On The Beach, a show hosted by Long Beach radio personality Halftime Howie.
