Aug. 8: Six Gun Concert, Surf Schedule, All About Eve

Monday's here and that means Patch returns with five things you need to know each weekday. What’s the buzz around town? We’ll keep you informed on everything from beach activities to library events to upcoming Patch posts. Here’s what’s going on today:

1. Long Beach's surfing schedule from Aug. 8 to 12 allows for surfing between Washington Boulevard and Lindell Boulevard and in the West End between Tennessee Avenue to Maryland Avenue. Check the schedule for permanent beaches, times and other information.

2. The City of Long Beach's free summer concert series continues at 8 p.m. with Six Gun performing country, rock, folk and bluegrass on National Boulevard beach.

3. Did you say you're a classic movie buff? Then you should know that All About Eve will show at 1:30 p.m. at the Long Beach Public Library.
