Beach Terrace Care Center Named to Best Nursing Homes List

Beach Terrace Care Center is proud to announce that it has just been named to the U.S. News and World Report’s List of Best Nursing Homes of 2013.

Beach Terrace received the highly-coveted overall five-star rating after going through an intense battery of tests and qualifications, based on nursing home safety, health inspections, staffing and measures of medical quality of care.

The Health Inspection rating was based on tests of health and safety standards for food preparation and other nursing home activities dating back to the last three state inspections. Beach Terrace Care Center again proudly received the elusive five-star rating. Beach Terrace was also tested in Nurse Staffing, which corresponds to the average number of hours per day of care received per resident from nurses at all levels. A third test was in Quality Measures, which is percentages of residents who got recommended care such as flu vaccinations and percentages of residents who had pain, bedsores, urinary tract infections and other care related problems.

According to the U.S. News and World Report, Beach Terrace Care Center has not been cited for any deficiencies or complaints in the last three years and has also not been fined or denied payment, an impressive statistic that very few nursing homes can claim.
