City Council Agenda Apri 2: Flooring for MLK, Transfer Budget Funds

  1. Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Enter into a Contract for the Furnishing and Installation of Sports Flooring at the Martin Luther King Center from the Most Responsible Bidder.

    Legislative Memo: As a result of damages sustained from Superstorm Sandy, the flooring at the MLK Center was destroyed. Funding is being requested through public assistance grant monies from FEMA.

  2. Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Purchase Industrial and Commercial Equipment and Supplies Under the U.S. Communities Maintenance, Repair and Operations Contract.

    Legislative Memo: As a member of the U.S. Communities Government Purchasing Alliance the City can make purchases from competitively selected suppliers at reduced prices.

  3. Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Purchase Two Vehicles under Chautauqua County Bid.

    Legislative Memo: As a result of Superstorm Sandy, numerous City owned vehicles were submerged in flood waters and need to be replaced. These two vehicles functioned for a while until they failed from salt water exposure. Funding is being requested through public assistance grant monies from FEMA.

  4. Resolution Authorizing the City Manager and the City Comptroller to Transfer Funds within the 2012-2013 Budget.

    Legislative Memo: Every year in order to prepare for the closing of the budget cycle, a Council resolution is placed on the Agenda giving the City Manager and the City Comptroller the authority to transfer unexpended funds within the current fiscal year.
