We are still anticipating an end-of-spring reopening of Emergency Services and supporting departments. Read below for a status update:<br/><br/>•We now have permanent electrical power in both the Main and West wing. <br/><br/>•New chillers (air conditioning equipment) for the MRI and CT scanner have arrived and are being installed. <br/><br/>We have tested most of the equipment that needs to be powered back up with good results. <br/><br/>•The medical vacuum and air handler systems have been relocated to the rooftop <br/><br/>•The installation of a new medical alarm system is complete.<br/><br/>•Installation of new controls for oxygen and nitrous oxide systems is complete and wiring will begin on Monday or Tuesday this week. <br/><br/>•Most of the fan coils (heating/air conditioning units) that needed to be installed in the West building are complete. Almost all plumbing projects are complete.<br/><br/>•The paging system is being replaced; equipment has been ordered and will arrive this week and we have obtained the necessary FCC licensing. <br/><br/>•Laboratory is in the process of testing all of its equipment; Inspections will follow.<br/><br/>•Upgraded fire alarm system has been installed. <br/><br/>•We’re mid-way through moving departments and services that will support the reopening of our Emergency Department to Two North and Two Main, including:<br/><br/>The Environmental Services storeroom on the third floor has been reconfigured to accommodate Pharmacy and Central Supply. These two new areas have been outfitted with shelves, countertops, etc and orders for supplies and medications have been made and are ready for delivery. <br/><br/>Social Services has moved to the former Sleep Center<br/><br/>We have begun moving Medical Records to Central Registration in the Main Lobby <br/><br/>Central Registration will move to the Information Desk in the Lobby. <br/><br/>Infection Control has been relocated to Main-Three <br/><br/>Nursing Supervisors office has been moved to West Two. <br/><br/>The Purchasing office will be relocating to the former Detox Unit office shortly. <br/><br/>•This week we will begin relocating the Ambulatory Surgery Unit to Main Two South. <br/><br/>On or about April 24th, we will begin terminal cleaning with a crew of approximately 50 workers who will clean all surfaces in the West and Main buildings. <br/><br/>As you can see, we have made significant progress and are looking forward to providing emergency services to the community once again.
