Established in 1923, the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards is the nation’s largest, longest-running and most prestigious visual and literary arts program recognizing the accomplishments of students in grades 7-12. This is a contest that has named winners such as Sylvia Plath, Joyce Carol Oates and many others.

Selected works will be featured in the National Catalog and “The Best Teen Writing” anthology. At the regional level, award-winning seniors have access to more than $3.5 million in scholarships from local institutions.
