DePaola Takes Reins at Carle Place High School/Middle School
Former Long Beach High School vice principal gets ready for new school year.

Thomas DePaola, a vice principal at Long Beach High School the past three years, is the new principal at Carle Place Middle School and High School.
DePaola brings to the schools 16 years of educational experience from Long Beach and Farmingdale, where he worked as a biology and chemistry teacher for 13 years at Farmingdale High School and was also a union officer for six years. Dr. Francine Newman replaced DePaole as vice pricipal at LBHS.
DePaola will take the reins as he steps in to fill the shoes of Neil J. Connolly, who retired from his position as principal after 37 years of service to the district.
