Great Kite Flight at Jones Beach

Folks are invited to participate in a simultaneous kite flying event.

The Great Kite Flight will be held at Jones Beach Field 4 this Saturday.

WBLI and WBAB is teaming up with Friendly’s Long Island and the Texting Awareness Foundation to present this event. 

Setup begins at 7 a.m., while kite registration starts at 9 a.m. Simultaneous kite flying starts at 11 a.m., with kites down by noon.

Long Islanders are encouraged to bring their own kites or purchase one at their local Long Island Friendly’s. Proceeds will benefit The Texting Awareness Foundation.
