Gun Buy Back Set for Saturday in Long Beach

The buy back is set for Saturday at Christian Light Baptist Church.

A gun buy back is set for Saturday at the Christian Light Baptist Church in Long Beach.

From 9 a.m.-12 p.m., Nassau County officials will take in guns, submitted anonymously, in exchange for cash from asset forfeiture funds.

People will be offered $100 for every operable rifle, $200 for operable handguns, and $400 for operable assault rifles.

Licensed BB guns, air pistols, and replicas will not be accepted.

All guns must be transported in the trunk of a car and unloaded. They should be inside a shoe box or plastic or paper bags.
