Nassau Home Suffers Damage In Afternoon Fire: Police

The side of the home on Southard Drive was fully engulfed in flames and it spread to a neighboring shed on Island Parkway, police said.

ISLAND PARK, NY — The Island Park Fire Department battled a house fire in Island Park on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The side of the home on Southard Drive was fully engulfed in flames and it spread to a neighboring shed on Island Parkway, police said.

No injuries were reported at scene. The Nassau County Fire Marshal and Arson Bomb Squad also responded to the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
