L.B. Key Food to Cook for Thanksgiving

Just as some restaurants cater meals for families on Thanksgiving, so to do certain supermarkets, including Key Food in the East End.

The supermarket offers a dinner with a whole-roasted 10- to 12-pound Key Food-brand turkey that comes with stuffing, mashed potatoes and cranberry relish, which can feed 10 to 12 people, for $99.99, and a meal-for-two consisting of roasted turkey breast with stuffing and cranberry relish, or with honey orange glaze and suffering, for $22.99 and $27.99, respectively.

“That’s a good meal for a couple that may not be having guests or a big dinner,” Omar Rodriguez, co-owner and manager of Key Food at 663 E. Park Ave., when Patch stopped in the store Monday. 

There are also eight side dish options that people can chose from, including  grilled asparagus ($6.99/lb.), mashed potatoes ($2.99/lb.), creamed spinach ($7.99/lb.) and carrot/corn soufflé ($5.99/lb.).

“We will customize any dishes that people want, any cut of meats, whether natural or organic,” Rodriguez said.  “We’re here to make it convenient for people.”
