LBFD: Man in Critical Condition After Car Slams Into Pole
A man may have suffered a "cardiac issue" when he collided with a pole in Long Beach, officials said.

A man is in critical condition after his car collided with a pole in Long Beach Tuesday morning, according to Long Beach Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to Park Avenue near Edwards Boulevard at 9:26 a.m. and found that a silver sedan had slammed into a metal pole, according to LBFD’s Facebook page.
The victim was found unconscious in the driver’s seat, officials said.

“He could have had some type of cardiac issue, or maybe a stroke, and crashed into the pole,” Fire Chief RJ Tuccillo said, according to the Long Beach Herald. “Right now that’s how it looks.”
Firefighters and paramedics removed the victim from the car and rushed him to Nassau University Medical Center, LBFD said.
