LBPD Seeking Victims of Car Break-ins

Four youths broke into cars in a Long Beach neighborhood and police are searching for other possible victims.

Long Beach Police are searching for people who may have been victims in a string of car break-ins reported before the holiday weekend.

At 3:03 a.m. on July 3, LBPD received a call about a suspicious group of people on the 400 block of W. Walnut Street, officials said.

Responding officers said they found four youths had taken a total of 45 items from unlocked cars along the street.

Some of the property was returned, but many victims have not come forward to report their loss and possibly get their property back,” the department wrote on Facebook.

Anyone who believes they were victims of the thefts should call Det. Marra at 516-705-7320 to inquire about getting their property back.

Authorities also reminded residents to secure their belongings by locking their cars.
