LONG BEACH, NY — Long Beach-based Skudin Surf has been recognized as one of the best surf schools in North America.

The shop, owned by brothers Will and Cliff Skudin, was named one of the top places to learn about hitting the waves by Outside Magazine.

They "helped put New York surfing on the map with their global big wave pursuits and their community-driven, namesake surf school," Outside wrote.

Along with the Long Beach camp, they also teach surfing in Lido Beach and Rockaway Beach.

Skudin Surf is listed alongside similar businesses in Hawaii, and Mexico and California.
