Long Beach Kids Can Learn Bike Safety Skills

The safety rodeo is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

LONG BEACH, NY — Children will learn bike safety skills this weekend in Long Beach.

During the June 22 Kids Bike Safety Rodeo, fundamentals will be taught to improve cycling in a fun and environment.

Children will have their bikes and helmets inspected and fitted. They will have a chance to ride through a skills course. All children will receive bicycle safety information and a certificate of completion.

It takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Recreation Campus parking lot on Magnolia Boulevard.

Two age groups can participate: Ages 5 to 9 gather at 10 am. Ages 9 to 12 line up at noon.
