Nassau Man Pleads Guilty To Illegally Selling Guns At His Home: DA
James Jayshaun Edwards sold 10 guns, including assault weapons and a ghost gun, earlier this year, prosecutors said.
MINEOLA, NY — A Long Beach man pleaded guilty on Friday to selling 10 illegal guns in front of an apartment earlier this year, prosecutors announced.
James Jayshaun Edwards, 33, pleaded guilty to first-degree criminal sale of a firearm and criminal possession of a firearm, Nassau County District Attorney Anne Donnelly said.
Edwards sold assault weapons and a ghost gun between April and July 2024, prosecutors said.

Two of the weapons were traced to multiple shootings in Queens and Nassau County that occurred as early as 2021, Donnelly said.
"Today’s guilty plea underscores the strength of this case built by the work of my prosecutors and our law enforcement partners. The overwhelming evidence against him forced this defendant to take accountability for selling nearly a dozen dangerous ghost guns right in front of his home in broad daylight," Donnelly said.

Edwards also sold multiple pistols in front of his Birch Court home, Donnelly said.
Nearly all the weapons were loaded, and he sold hundreds of rounds of extra ammunition with the weapons, the D.A.'s office said.
Three additional firearms were recovered after a search warrant was executed at the defendant’s home on August 22, prosecutors said.
Edwards is expected to be sentenced to seven years in prison with five years of post-release supervision when he returns to court on February 14, Donnelly said.
