Long Beach Native Mike Francesa to Host 9/11 Show at Mulcahy's

Sports radio veteran to broadcast WFAN show celebrating anniversary of "The NFL Now" and commemorating 9/11.

Longtime WFAN sports radio host and Long Beach native Mike Francesa will host a special show Sunday at Mulcahy’s Pub & Concert Hall in Wantagh that celebrates the 25th anniversary of “The NFL Now” and commemorates the 10th anniversary of the Islamic terrorists' attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

The popular "NFL Now,” show which originated on WFAN in 1987, will broadcast at Mulcahy’s from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sunday. The event has been organized as a charitable fundraiser with a portion of ticket sales going toward “Tuesdays Children,” a Manhasset-based non-profit organization that provides support for families of 9/11 casualties and others impacted by terrorism.

The sold out event with the veteran sports radio host, which will air live on both WFAN and the YES Television Network, will feature a hot and cold buffet breakfast for attendees.
