Some were looking to spread the word of their efforts quickly, others were looking for volunteers and donations and yet some were just seeking a place to share their experiences and photos of post-Sandy Long Beach.
All, however, turned to Facebook. Several grassroots organizations cropped up in Sandy's wake, most with a common goal of helping others.
