Long Beach Shows Its Sculpted Side

A photo gallery of statues in Long Beach.

You live in Long Beach and you didn’t know that every day lions, cherubs and a samurai warrior are spotted on the streets of the city?

Luckily, we at Patch always have our cameras with us, so we captured these and other statues around town to feature in this week’s View Finder photo gallery.

We’ve found that many of the city’s sculpted works of art are more or less hidden from the busiest parts of town, so we thought we’d bring them out in the open.

Each week on this forum we aim to capture some of the many interesting and attractive subjects and neighborhoods throughout the bustling beach town.

If you have photos of city scenes that you would like us to consider for our View Finder gallery, please email them — along with descriptive captions — to josephk@patch.com. Photos must be sent with the photographer's permission.
